2008 marks the fourth trip Sharon has made to LA to attend the annual voice camp hosted by Speech Level Singing International. Each year it presents something different, and is an experience not easliy forgotten. There are singers from around the world in attendance, from South American, Europe and Australia. So far there are three Australian Teachers and 8 students attending. Please contact me if you need help with flight details. I would suggest arriving a day early and stay at the Holiday Inn Santa Monica, its near shops, restaurants and is a nice place to relax before camp.
Each day is broken down into various lessons, a full schedule will be available soon. The end of day finishes with a concert and chance to get up and sing in front of your fellow students.
Accomodation is at the College of Judaism, which is air conditioned and fully catered. There is little free time and you will be too tired to even remember to have jet lag.
Every day there are private lessons available and its a great opportunity to see what kind of talent is out there. I will be Jeffrey Skousens assistant, who is one of the teachers available for private lessons.
If this interest you, please drop me a line and I will let you know all about it. Last year some of the Mums accompanied their children and took the "board and meals" option, and were welcome at evening performances. They have hall monitors for the younger attendees, as it is a closed, live in course. |
