Sharon has been involved in Speech Level Singing for more than ten years, studying in Australia and abroad. A singer herself, Sharon searched for a method that was able to let her sing all night at a gig and still be able to talk the next day. Her first singing lessons showed her the "broadway belt" and various methods that "supported the breath", "placed it", "put it", she stood tall, breathed deep.
What she was after was a way to sing, without effort and without damaging her voice, oh... and it still needed to sound like a "normal" singing voice.
After years of searching she stumbled onto a teacher from Las Vegas who was living in Australia for a year, that worked from a book called "Singing for the Stars" by Seth Riggs. She immediatly knew she had found the answer. Following this discovery she took a trip to Los Angeles and became involved in the Speech Level Singing (SLS) organisation. When SLS formed the education advisory roles, Sharon was appointed to represent Australia.
Now a resident on the Gold Coast, Australia.
